Introduction of This Book

Many people believe in Jesus. However, most Christians mistakenly think they are living a proper life of faith while engaging in hypocritical religious practices โ€œto be seen by men.โ€ Those who live their faith โ€œto be seen by menโ€ are Christian religionists, not true believers. In Matthew 6, Jesus starkly contrasts the religionists with true believers.

โ€œTake heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward from your Father in heavenโ€ (Matthew 6:1).

God examines even our hidden thoughts. True believers are those who live โ€œbefore Godโ€ (coram Deo), revering Him, believing in His Word, and following it. Jesus rebuked the hypocritical Pharisees, urging them not to practice their faith to gain peopleโ€™s approval but to live out their faith before God, who sees everything in secret.

Those who practice their faith โ€œbefore menโ€ (coram hominibus) to be seen by others are merely Christian religionists. Christianity today is overflowing with such religionists. They claim to believe in and worship God, but in reality, they follow their desires and boast in their self-righteousness. Religionists in a secularized Christianity are convinced they are walking the right path of faith, but in truth, they are thoroughly deceived by Satan, who masquerades as an angel of light. They are spiritually blind, yet they arrogantly claim to guide others who are also blind. These Christian sinners do not realize that they are wretched beings destined for hell, yet they confidently believe they have the best faith.ย

How tragic this is!

I earnestly pray that God will grant them โ€œthe spirit of wisdom and revelationโ€ (Ephesians 1:17) so they can clearly understand His Word. I hope they will recognize their wretched state, return to God, and receive the grace of โ€œsalvation through the remission of sinsโ€ (Luke 1:77).

May God grant the readers of this book โ€œthe spirit of wisdom and revelation,โ€ so that they may richly partake of every spiritual blessing from Heaven found in the Scriptures. I also pray that truth seekers with Berean spirits will arise and be anointed as Godโ€™s workers to save souls who are still imprisoned in the bondage of sin.
