โUnless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of Godโ (John 3:5).ย
The key theme of the Gospel of John is โbeing born again.โ There is no concept in Scripture more vital than being born again, for without it, no one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Yet, most Christians do not understand โwhat being born again truly means or how one can experience it. Being born again is the transformation of a sinner, destined for hell, into a righteous person through faith in the Original Gospel of truth and the reception of the remission of sins.
Therefore, if any sin still remains in your heart, you must acknowledge that you have not been born again. The reason some Christians still have sin in their hearts is because the gospel they believe in is incomplete. Just as the water in the stone jars at the wedding in Cana, filled to the brim, was turned into wine, the complete Gospel of truth transforms us into the righteous through being born again.
Now, Christians must leave behind the village of religion, steeped in elitism and hypocrisy. Then, they will encounter the Lord of life, โwho came by water and bloodโ (1 John 5:6).ย When this happens, they will be liberated from sin and all bondage. And they will enjoy Godโs blessings as Jesus said, โThe truth shall make you freeโ (John 8:32).
About the author
Pastor Samuel Jungsoo Kim was born in 1952.
He majored in Policy Studies at the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy and the Graduate School of Yonsei University. He worked as a professor in the Department of Public Administration at Dongwoo College starting in 1981.
During his tenure, he served as an advisory professor for IVF (a Christian studentsโ fellowship) and led an urban community church.
After encountering the โGospel of the Water and the Bloodโ in 1991, he was called by God and worked as a pastor and missionary in China, Russia, Bangladesh, and the United States.
ย Now retired, he devotes himself to evangelism through literature, serving as the CEO of Uijedang Press and the president of Original Gospel Mission.
